Elm Lodge is a registered provider for personal mental and social care of older people over 65 years of age. The Managing Director, Mr Z. Karmali who is also the Responsible Individual has 15 years Running and managing care homes, including a care home with nursing, EMI and general. The Manager of the Home – Dolores Yates, is undertaking NVQ Level 3 and Level 4, Registered Managers Award and an Assessors course. Mrs Yates has considerable experience in care. The manager is supported by a deputy manager, 8 care staff, 4 Senior Health Care Assistants and 4 Health Care Assistant, one Cook and one Domestic, 2 Maintenance People. The home is registered for the provision of care to older people with mental health problem. Currently the clients are of mixed gender male and female service users. The home does not provide nursing care. The main effort is concentrated on the personal, mental and social needs of the Service Users.

It is a fundamental ethos that those service users who live in the home should be able to do so in accordance with the homes Statement of Values. It is the object of the home that all service users shall live in a clean and safe environment and be treated with respect and sensitivity to their individual needs and abilities. Staff will be responsive to the individual needs of service users and will provide the appropriate degree of care to assure high quality of life within the home.
